Membrane of Paper

Drawing on a nearly life-size scale somehow frees up the interaction between vision and perception.  The blunt point of graphite flows like a wave of  poteniality as it springs to life, attempting to agilely poke, prod, touch, slash, tickle and massage the sitter in order to evoke the subject to reaction.  It comes so close, yet each time is thwarted because separating the two is a thin membrane of paper.
